Administrative Staff Exchange Programme (ASEP) for Incoming Staff

Introduction

The Administrative Staff Exchange Programme (ASEP) was launched by NUS International Relations Office (IRO) in 2003. The Programme started with exchanges with partner universities within the Universitas 21 (U21) network but has now been extended to all NUS partner universities.

Objectives of ASEP

  • To promote greater knowledge and understanding of the operations in each university as well as the cultural context of the partner university
  • To foster advancement and the development of knowledge of individual staff member
  • To share and exchange best practices
  • To identify areas for practical administrative cooperation

Eligibility

To qualify for the ASEP at NUS, you must be a full-time administrative staff member from a U21 partner university or one of NUS’ university-wide partner universities. The list of NUS university-wide partner universities can be found here. You should also possess reasonable reading, speaking, listening and writing English skills so that the exchange experience will be meaningful.

Duration of Exchange at NUS

You must specify the main subject areas and/or areas of interest for the intended exchange. You are also advised to indicate the preferred Faculty, School or administrative department in NUS that you wish to be attached to.  Depending on availability and suitability, you may be attached to the office of your choice.  ASEP at NUS typically runs for up to 5 working days.
